Developing Mental Strength – Motivated and Focused Teaching and Learning
In the era of digitalization, distractions and disruptive influences from outside (and inside) are becoming the order of the day, and focusing on the essentials is more and more turning into a challenge for students and teachers. This often leads to health complaints.
In order to be successfully able to teach and learn with satisfaction and focus, the desire to enjoy what you are doing, self-assertiveness and self-care are important key elements.
But how can you succeed in maintaining a positive mindset even under difficult circumstances? How can one stay focused and relaxed under pressure or with frustrations and distractions? How can teachers maintain their own motivation and enjoyment in teaching? How can teachers support their students to increase their ownership in the learning process and improve self-regulation skills?
We will explore these kind of questions in the workshop with the well-known Swedish mental coach Igor Ardoris.
In the workshop, Igor Ardoris will introduce his concept and the principles of mental training to change the "mindset" towards the development of mental strength. Based on the experience and interests of the participants, the focus during the workshop can be on topics such as focus and concentration, self-assertion and self-care, stress management or motivational communication.
The goal of the workshop is to have participants experience through exercises how to take care of themselves through mental training while creating a motivating learning environment to facilitate focused teaching and learning.
Notice:
The workshop will be held in English. Teachers who are not proficient in English conversation are also welcome to attend.
